I came to log into my Counterwallet this morning and I was presented with a new wallet. I basically got the license agreement text and then straight to the new wallet. I don't log in very often, probably over a month since I last did. I can't really see what I am doing wrong.
Is there anything I can do/try or is the wallet gone?
Thanks,
Jason

Thanks for responding. I pretty much figured that. I have the passphase written down in two places and checked both of them so I can't really see what I'm doing wrong. I've logged in probably a dozen times with the information in the first place. Going to leave it now and come back later with a fresh head.

It wasn't much of a response, but unfortunately there''s not much else that can be tried.
Unlike with passwords, the pass phrase cannot be "changed" (different pass phrase = different wallet ID) so if it doesn't work now while it worked 2 weeks ago, then that would mean your pass phrase is different than 2 weeks ago or maybe there is a bug in the software (which should impact many people, not just one particular pass phrase).
When was the last time you successfully accessed your CW wallet?
It's probably around 4 weeks ago that I lasted logged in. The wallet was probably created around the beginning of June. I'd been developing an Android app to monitor the asset balance so I'd no need to log in. This morning I set up a DogeParty wallet and while in the process of storing the pass phrase I decided to log in to CW at which point I hit a problem.
There's not much value in the wallet although I had a few thousand LTBcoin which might be useful one day. The main thing is to understand what went wrong so I don't have it happen again.
Here are some more details of what I did, as much as anything to help me think this through:
I have a list of twelve words which I believe is my pass phrase. I have them stored in two places (paper and encrypted text file). The paper version is a list, eg
word1
word2
etc
and the text file is:
word1 word2 etc
So I can't have mixed up the order.
I have three addresses stored which I believe are generated from the pass phrase I have. When I entered the pass phrase today I was prompted to agree to the terms of the wallet so clearly hadn't used two different pass phrases before and somehow mixed them up.
I'm pretty sure that the encrypted text file was generated in the following way. Booted Ubuntu Live USB, created new wallet copied pass phrase to USB stick for encryption later.
I have just tried pasting the pass phrase from the encrypted text file directly in Counter Wallet but again this took me to what I believe is the incorrect wallet.
I know the above seems to indicate a bug in CounterWallet and that would seem unlikely since I am the only one with a problem. I'm not perfect and do make mistakes from time to time. I'm very experienced with computer system, professional software developer for 20 years and have been messing around with computers since the early 1980s. The problem is I can't really see what I have done wrong.
I believe I have found the cause of my problem:

The text file backup is actually date stamped 7th May, the day before the above change came into force. I haven't had time to fully digest the linked post but I believe I probably continued to log in to the old wallet to 15th July but probably not after, if this is possible. Anyway looks like I need to do a little research to see if it's possible to rescue the old assets.
Thanks,
Jason

Good…
I did ask you when you last logged in to check for that possibility ("It's probably around 4 weeks ago that I lasted logged in. The wallet was probably created around the beginning of June. ")
When I saw the text file date I realised that I must have generated the wallet a monthly earlier than I thought, unfortunately the day before the wallets changed.
I've just successfully managed to get CounterWalletHelper.py to dump my original wallet addresses. Am I correct in saying I now need to do the following:
1. Dump the private keys.
2. Create a new Counterparty Wallet.
3. Import Funds, From Another Address and enter the private key
All sorted now Something. Thanks for your help.
