Counterwallet: Bug report & technical support thread

Some feedback:

I really like the wallet and that everything is online. Everything is easy and straight forward.

I don’t think I had any issues so far with anything. However here are some things i would like improved.

1) History. It would be nice to see every transaction that my walled was part of. Anything that was sent and received basically.

2) Callable assets are wonderful. However i don’t like the fact that they have a static date only. It would be nice if they could be called X time after they are issued, or given to somebody. I would like to give customer some bonus via an asset that last 6 month. So i want to be able to sent them the asset and take it back 6 month after i have given it to them. Every time i want to do this now i have to create a new asset, which is confusing.

3) Votes. We really need votes. We should be able to call a vote (i.e. vote for a,b,c,d) and then give folks token that act as votes. Votes need to exist in a one directional vote or bi-directional. For the bi-directional votes think of votes that are tied to shares and you have 1 vote for every share. I’d like to be able to have people vote for a position by sending the votes to a ballot but be able to change the vote any time they want. So they would need to be able to take the vote back in the bi-directional and cast it again.

Tried to create a new wallet. Thats what I was prompted when it opened up:

I could reproduce the error yet.

failoverAPI: Call failed (failed over across all servers). Method: get_orders; Last error: JSON-RPC Error:<br /><br />Type: Server error<br /><br />Code: -32000<br /><br />Message: {&quot;message&quot;: &quot;Invalid params&quot;, &quot;code&quot;: -32602}

Firefox 27.0.1
Windows 7 64 bit
this happens when you press enter (return) instead of the button.

Your explanation is not correct. I am having the same problem with the send method.

Trying to check out the live counterwallet on mainnet, but keep getting a message saying "No Counterparty servers are available." Is everyone having this issue right now, or is there something I can do?

I spotted the following issues:

"My Balances - Address Actions - Show QR Code" throws an exception: "ReferenceError : qrcode is not defined"

"View Prices - BTC, XCP - Open Orders" displays transactions which are from a different type, I think. See the screenshot and transactions:

I assume they should be from the type "Order" instead?

Edit: a negative fee seems wrong. This one is on testnet:

These all should be fixed. Was due to a counterwalletd API change

dex: thanks for the qrcode find. it’s due to the build system not including this as a dep. jah will get it fixed.

regarding the tx_indexes not matching up, this is because tx_indexes can change between versions of counterparty (depending on the exact parsing rules). Blockscan does need a way to query transaction via txhash …I can’t seem to do that with them right now.

created a post on it at the blockscan forum thread. we’ll get it fixed once they add the functionality.

regarding the rest, jah will be checking it out. thanks

chat does not work for me. Ok, I can send text to it but I don’t see other ppl messages. Both mainnet and testnet. No js error. Chrome / FF.

It used to work on the previous testnet before switching to the current one.

Mainnet bug report

AdamBLevine tried to place an order to sell XBTC for XCP.

These orders were created without any miner’s fee and haven’t been included in a block for some time now.

Hello counterparty community, this looks very nice project, congratulations.

What meets me here is a problem with one withdrawal. Already posted in tesntet post, but since this is technical support from tesntet i tell here too, hope doesnt bother. The case is i made transfer from my 137 XCP from poloniex to my testnet address ( i saw people posting similar address) : miafw85mkbAZrkAejHhVM8v9PU8B5utvvh

and now i dont have my xcp in testnet. poloniex says transaction complete: error. Can anybody help me recover my coins please? I m worried since this is big loss to me

thank you

You cannot move your XCP from Poloniex to test-net Counterwallet. You will need to ask Poloniex to cancel the withdrawal. Create a new main-net wallet at:

https://counterwallet.co/

And then retry the withdrawal.

Don’t worry your XCP is safe.

Thank you very much for your answer. I already opened ticket in poloniex. I thought they couldnt cancel as their policy says, but if you tell me im safe this probably has happened more times and you are sure about it. Im new to all coins but really feel counterparty is a great project and i will follow from now on all your work

Yes don’t worry. I think the policy covers where withdrawals have been made.

In this case the withdrawal is in ‘error’ then it hasn’t gone through and your XCP are still safely in Poloniex. They will be returned to your account balance after the withdrawal is cancelled.

amazing job!
suggestion: why are View Prices and Top Assets behind login? Those pages can be available on the home page.

Testnet giving a different error but still not working = /
failoverAPI: Call failed (failed over across all servers). Method: broadcast; Last error: undefined
All of my actions are pending and stuck… for hours and hours.  Is there any way to clear it all?

A question about when I click the Import Funds button:
Import funds by "sweeping" then from another external address you own into one of your wallet address

Will this necessarily sweep BOTH the XCP and the BTC off of the address, or just the XCP?

Also note the typo on counterwallet, should be "sweeping them" not "sweeping then".

Every time I try and create an asset, I get this error (happens no matter what amount of shares I put in)

multiAPIConsensus: Parallel call failed (no server returned success). Method: create_issuance; Last error: JSON-RPC Error:Type: Server error

Message: int too large to convert

any ideas…?
