What does "no dividend to distribute" mean?

Question: Why do I get this and what does it mean?

Answer:

  • Dividends cannot be paid to the issuer.
  • If you hold the complete issuance of a token and attempt to pay out a dividend, you will get this message because nothing would be paid out (since the issuance is 100% owned by the address attempting to pay the dividend).

Are you doing the dividend payment from the address that owns the asset correct? and you cannot pay dividends to the wallet that owns the asset

@FoldingCoin, yes I was, but also I should have indicated that I was answering a question I got from the chat.
Perhaps I should edit the original post.
