I cannot create an order to buy a user issued asset for another user issued asset unless the sell asset is one I issued myself.
Eg I want to buy OHCOIN for LTBCOINTEST but I cannot select LTBCOINTEST. I can only select XBTC which is the asset I issued myself.
Great work. very very, impressed with the wallet thus far. Much preferred it to the user experience of MSC’s web-wallet implementation, also tried a bit to break it and had trouble.will continue playing with it a little more
Ideas that I think would be good (I’m not really super-technical so no clue if possible to implement)
Allow users to keep track of markets, without first having to fill in a buy/sell order themselves , potentially something like this (just quick copy paste from btc-e) where user can type in the pairs they wish to monitor e.g XCP/BTC and tab between them. This is a very familiar workflow for most traders.
The chatbox as it is seems great. The ability to PM would be very useful
I’m envisaging a situation right now where a trusted user (Alice) had created an asset like AMAZONCARD with a $10 balance, bob shows up saying he needs an amazon gift card asap. he makes the trade on the DEX. but obviously needs to take delivery of the voucher code somehow, now bob can just send a PM to alice with a signed message and alice PM’s back a voucher code. in that scenario, it would be just like a bitcoin-otc IRC channel where a trade is conducted user user to user.
Currently, the "Pending Actions" list gets cleared when logging out and the logging in again. Would be great if this list could be persistent.
The client is great, amazing work.
Spotted one thing so far. A dividend of 100 XCP has ended up orders of magnitude different on the notifications list -
EDIT: But the dividend itself actually processed as expected.
https://testnet.counterwallet.co/# (create wallet screen) doesn’t display properly on 1024x600 resolution. Only partly visible and no scroll.
browser: firefox

could not create a wallet on my mobile device. Using Galaxy note 3, Firefox and chrome browser. The address window would not resize or scroll. I also could not click the create wallet button.
I have a wallet going via the desktop… pretty slick.
Also anyway to change your chat handle after you have created it. ??
Should we report issues here on Github? I’ll report issues here, but it’s not clear where they should be. I’m guessing that the forums are default and will not use Github.
When I view Asset info, the features of the asset issuance are available for me to click, but they don’t work. Maybe these should just be display vs. input boxes with checks?
For about 10 minutes, all balances in about 4 BTC accouns went to ZERO and the Primed went to ???
Here’s an example address from Blockexplorer: http://blockexplorer.com/testnet/address/mvHLAMmoTzJtWYUpKgV4ivri1pi4Fmpycr
The BTCs all came back with primed numbers showing up, after few minutes later. However, I can’t explain why it happened.
Using Firefox

But the test net XCP didn’t actually go out I assume since the amount of test net xcp is judged by the test net bit coin block chain… and counterpartyd, which I’m assuming wouldn’t allow that, must just be an issue with counter wallet
Trying to buy MATTCOIN with BTC brings up NO Addresses to choose from
Looking really great! However I’ve just encountered what looks like a balance display bug.
My Address #3 had 8.52072452 BTC and I sent 1 BTC to another address burned 1 BTC for XCP, which still has to confirm. I then got logged out of Counterwallet and logged in again and the address is showing 16.0361 BTC for some reason. However, when I try to prime that address, Counterwallet seems to know how much should be in there, according to the error message.
I got logged out again and went back in and XCP burn was confirmed. Now the BTC balance in My Address #3 looks correct-ish, even though it does not correspond with what the error message said I should have.
Looking at the testnet block explorer for the affected address in my post above, https://blockexplorer.com/testnet/address/my4J2tWSuSNsLuygErjtaMJiu5pm49ZKLV there seems to be something strange going on with the fake balances in block 205618, and the 16.03614904 BTC error I had above has been caused by this.
Trying to Send BTC to another address fails as incorrect BTC Amount in Wallet.
Results in Error
I can only SELL Assets that I issued, not the assets that I received.
This bug was also mentioned HERE: https://forums.counterparty.co/index.php/topic,188.msg1446.html#msg1446
Here are my Assets:
But I can only trade the 1 ASSET I created, LOVE
I can’t select the other Assets in my wallets.
Lets say you make a send for 10 XCP, it does not show up in the GUI till the next block (10 minutes). This wait can be frustrating for the user. One way is to show the new balance within parathesis or with an asterix. To show that the transaction is being processed.
Ok guys, I did some bug fixing today. Here’s what I was able to take care of with the push I’ll be doing in a few minutes here (which will cause a 10 minute outage as I reparse counterpartyd and counterwalletd data and update insight):
* Attempted fix for odd BTC balances. Let’s see if this helps
* At kdrop’s great suggestion, added indicator symbol to asset balances that will appear if you have a balance affecting change pending (also shows up for additional asset issuances if you own the asset)
* Added chat operator commands, and op status (allowing banning, nick changes, etc by designated ops). yay
* Entry of negative numbers are now properly disallowed
* History page was showing incorrect dates, fixed.
* (hopefully) Fixed issue with feed sockets not being correctly finalized on client browser close, leading to a server outage/issues eventually.
* fixed issue with using MAX button when sending BTC (need to a the miner fee amount in the address)
* pending actions are now persisted between logins on the same machine (we use localstorage for this)
* fixed a few bugs that led to display issues/assertion errors with unexpected message feed data
* fixed chatbox being able to not write empty messages
* buy/sell: fix for Confirm & Place order button not displaying correctly
* buy/sell: fixed bug where only assets the user actually owned were listed under the dropdown for “I want to sell”
* fixed display bug in pending actions for the dividend amount
* added “(Read Only)” to asset info page, to clarify that the data there is not writable
* BTC balances will show as ‘??’ when we are having trouble retrieving the amounts from insight
* bug fix to prevent BTC balance updates from knocking out any other pending actions listed that are on the same address as a pending BTC send
Other Notes:
* "Allow users to keep track of markets, without first having to fill in a buy/sell order themselves , potentially something like this (just quick copy paste from btc-e) " This is planned
* Also, mobile support is lacking right now. Additional work planned on this after the wallet stabilizes on the desktop.
* Still haven’t been able to consistently reproduce the blank address dropdown bug on the buy/sell page. will spend more time on that one tomorrow
* With these fixes, I may have created some bugs with BTCpays and automatic BTC pays. Let me know if you are seeing any new issues there (as well as anywhere else, obviously).
Thanks for hard work!
Minor issues below… I think making the fees clear, will be important.
My account balance is nice and clear. Perhaps having the totals for non-zero balance assets listed always in the empty bottom half of the left menu, would be useful?
Text box error: Account name editing.
In Firefox, looking to edit the account name: trying to use the mouse to select existing name text to then delete or overtype that text, instead has the mouse drag the account element. Although the cursor is initially in the box at end, it’s not obvious that it’s possible to place the cursor and moving to a new tab and back again the cursor has disappeared and it seems not possible to put it back; cancel and restart with only keyboard then required.
Descriptive text: Readability.
Do not use abbreviations: those tend to confuse those with English as a foreign language.
“As auto-priming is enabled for your wallet, you shouldn’t have to use this.”
-> should not.
Descriptive text: Clarity.
Need to change the wording on this… “do… things” is too vague.
"In order to do things with Counterparty, your address needs to contain at one confirmed “unspent output” for each action you want to do (e.g. send, create asset, etc)."
Perhaps change to make clear what this is:
"In order to take actions with Counterparty, your address needs to contain at least one ?unspent ?asset for each action that you want to take (e.g. send, create asset, etc)."
Popup: drag
Would be helpful for the send funds popup to have a titlebar so that box can be moved to look behind at current balances; when talk of fees is suggested I’m curious how much those will be.
Icon: pending
Balance change pending icon, looks to be an up arrow, when a down one would have been more appropriate. Perhaps a more normal two arrows circling would be better?
Also the balance pending icon surely should be on the BTC too, if that is to change.
Market:
It seems unfortunate that there isn’t a view market option; current it seems the only way to view the market [price history; open orders; completed trades] is to reenter the buy/sell.
If you do that and then goto Previous (1) to select a different asset pair, then the [I want to buy:] refuses to change.
The Open Orders suggests the order ref number but then searching for that in both open and completed orders, does not find that reference if the user has entered the display for the wrong asset pair - or looking at it back to front. So, I’m selling XCP for BTC and go back and look at BTC for XCP, I don’t find my sale. I’m too tired to be sure that XCP:BTC and BTC:XCP couldn’t and shouldn’t be in the same list; each just a reverse of the other.
There needs to be a clear description of fees. I transferred 1 Love to an empty account, which by itself moved 0.0001086BTC and yet I try to move that 1 Love to the next empty account and get error: “Can’t do this action as you have no BTC at this address, and Counterparty actions require a small balance of BTC to perform.” How much BTC would I want to move in order to move that?.. not clear.
Perhaps on [Recent Counterparty Transactions] each transaction could drill down to the detail of the fees that were related to that. The Insight is confusing as it appears to be beyond the one order the user is looking to.
I hope the zoom function on the market history graph does work, looks like the same as bter’s and those frustrating as the time options don’t work for the zoom.
?Asset Portfolio
The element I least like is [Asset Portfolio], that does nothing for me and it does not show the other assets that I’d expected to see in a simple list of totals by assets; so, Love was not represented there.
Very nice design and looking very promising for engaging people and encouraging them to use it.
