Github vs. five page-long forum threads

Hi guys

I submit counterparty bugs (under another name) on github because I think it’s where they belong.

But it seems most people prefer various forums (here and Bitcointalk.org).

That makes a lot of knowledge wasted because (a) docs are still not up to date, and (b) documented stuff that does exist remains spread around in various posts.

I think it would help the project if we used good practices and submitted issues to github.
Also we need more contributors to github docs.
I believe just couple of such changes could considerably increase the visibility of the project.
Right now counterpartyd is still very difficult to install because docs and how to’s aren’t up to date.

Thanks

yes, we are happy to accept any pull requests to update these docs (one user has already submitted a number of updates)… or at the very least, bug tickets on the errors in the documentation

Well considering there is maybe a dozen people that have been using the regular client there just hasn’t been much motivation.

You’re right of course - I post on Github in the future.
