Ability to change asset properties (divisibility, destroy existing supply, unlock, etc) (Per J-Dog)

I see this feature as something that is needed pretty quick in order for the second-hand asset market to take off.

Example: I own 4000+ assets all of which are divisible and have 0.0 supply issued. I know of others that have many assets registered similar, divisible with 0.0 supply issued

Is the answer that the functionality will only be available once smart contracts comeout? If so, that is fine… I just need some clarification that it will be supported, and when.
