Could you elaborate a bit more what you are trying to do? Am I understanding it right, that you lost the passphrase of your old wallet, but still have a private key to one of it’s addresses?
If you import funds from another address A, you need to enter the private key of that address A in order to be able to import it. An maybe (better ask @jdogresorg) you also need some BTC on that address to be able to sweep it…
