Full Node

Do you need to run a full node to be able to use counterparty? It seems like this would be a barrier to entry since the blockchain is pretty fucking huge now-a-days. Also, it appears that the SQLite database needs to have it’s own copy of the blockchain. This seems to ostensibly double the requirements for participation.

Running a full node the only real option at this stage if you want to do more than just ‘hold’ XCP. You can buy and sell XCP at exchanges without running counterpartyd.

from what i read the gui wallet that citiglut about to release is supposed to be light wallet connecting to several fullnodes on the backend to count the concensus
