# Sweep - did not move all the BTC (2)

Hi team,

sorry for this duplicate. I cannot edit the first topic on the same topic.  
" Sweeping a private key is the same as importing it, but with an extra step – all of the bitcoins belonging to the private key are sent to a new Bitcoin address on your software client.  
"  
I have done that but not all the BTC were moved to my new wallet.  
I do not know why, but now, after pasting the private key again, nothing happens.
