Hi guys, I’m very excited about XCP and just wanted to say Hi! If I can help with something I’m glad to volunteer. I don’t have a background in programming but I can make coffee or run to the post office. If you need something translated to German message me - it’s my native language. I’m also curious if there’s any chance for a Mac Client. In the meantime I’ll be cheering on and see what is happening. ---

There is already a mac client 😉 Install bitcoin-qt and when blockchain is downloaded try this: 1) Download: [https://github.com/JahPowerBit/counterpartyws/raw/master/dist/counterpartyws.app.zip](https://github.com/JahPowerBit/counterpartyws/raw/master/dist/counterpartyws.app.zip) 2) Unzip 3) (optional) Update configuration file ~/Library/Application Support/counterpartyd/counterpartyd.conf [default] bitcoind-rpc-connect=192.168.2.254 bitcoind-rpc-port=8332 bitcoind-rpc-user=xxxxx bitcoind-rpc-password=xxxxx rpc-password=xxxxx   gui-host=localhost (default: localhost) gui-port=8080 (default: 8080) gui-user=xxxxx (default: rpc-user) gui-password=xxxxx (default: rpc-password) 4) Double click countepartyws.app 5) Open you browser: [http://localhost:8080](http://localhost:8080) If you have any problem PM me. don’t forget to put txindex=1 server=1 in bitcoin-qt config file ---

does it work on other os ? do you have the instruction to install counterpartyd from the source on OSX ? ---

thanks! I was able to run counterpartyd in my maverick, with slightly differences from the steps as I already have homebew and python3 so it goes like this: `
brew update
brew install sqlite


pip3 install appdirs==1.2.0 prettytable==0.7.2 python-dateutil==2.2 requests==2.1.0 cherrypy==3.2.4 json-rpc==1.1 pycoin==0.25 pytest==2.5.1
pip3 install https://github.com/rogerbinns/apsw/archive/master.zip


git clone https://github.com/PhantomPhreak/counterpartyd.git
cd counterpartyd
./counterpartyd server

I haven’t tried the counterpartyws as mac app yet. meanwhile you can add this line: config.DATA\_DIR = appdirs.user\_data\_dir (appauthor = ‘Counterparty’, appname = ‘counterpartyd’, roaming = True) Attention it there’s probably specific code for MacOS build. I make a push for a clean version as soon as I get home from the office. thks. ---

[font=verdana][size=x-small]I couldn’t figure out as I’m weak in python, but i[/size][/font]t might not be a bug though. It could be from the way I tried to run it because [font=verdana]set\_options()[/font] [font=verdana]should set the config variable, but it’s not available in [/font][font=verdana][size=x-small]counterpartyws.py file. It looks like the config var is not imported/exported properly. [/size][/font] ---

Ok, I cleaned repositories. [https://github.com/JahPowerBit/counterpartyws](https://github.com/JahPowerBit/counterpartyws) Contains the webserver and the GUI compatible with all OS, with as clear as I could README. [https://github.com/JahPowerBit/counterpartyws\_build](https://github.com/JahPowerBit/counterpartyws_build) Contains the standalone .app version with integrated counterpartyd. [size=small][font=arial]k, I recloned the [https://github.com/JahPowerBit/counterpartyws](https://github.com/JahPowerBit/counterpartyws) [/font][/size] [size=small][font=arial]had to,[/font][/size] [size=small][font=arial]pip3 install bottle[/font][/size] [size=small][font=arial]also cloning the repo doesn’t give me counterpartyd[/font][/size] [size=small][font=arial]so I had to rm that empty counterpartyd dir and ln -s …/counterpartyd[/font][/size] [size=small][font=arial]then I can start the webservice but[/font][/size] [font=arial][size=small][http://localhost:8080/](http://localhost:8080/) gives me 404 not found,[/size][/font] [font=arial][size=small]upon inspection, it appears “counterpartygui.html” is missing[/size][/font] ---

you may use git --recursive option to download also submodule. I updated the README.md : `
