# Command "reorg"

I have few questions when a counterparty message has for property Command the value ‘reorg’:

1. How does this work and how is it handled by the counterparty api?
2. Is reorg always detected and presented in a counterparty message? Or should we also check the previous parent block hash to manually detect the reorg?
3. How should we handle bitcoin reorgs when we find such a message?
