# Accessing asset APIs

Hi there,  
I’m interested in learning how to develop with Counterparty, and wanted to make a custom personal wallet to learn how to access APIs.

However I’m having an extraordinarily hard time figuring out _what_ to call when I want to see asset data?

For example I want to be able to search for open market exchanges between X and Y value, but the documentation is really hard to decipher what exact calls I need to make to the database to see something like that?

Even just how to call a single Rare Pepe asset as an example would be a great help.
